Terms and Conditions

Last updated: please check the date shown on this page when you visit; we update these terms from time to time.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Xoqipe website and mobile application, and any purchase of subscriptions or paid features from us. Please read them carefully. By creating an account, placing an order or otherwise using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Who We Are and How to Contact Us

The services are provided by Xoqipe ("Xoqipe", "we", "us" or "our"). Our budget-planning application is designed to help young professionals organise their income, outgoings and savings goals.

If you wish to contact us for any reason, including questions, complaints or requests relating to your personal data, please use the email address or telephone number above. We will aim to reply within a reasonable time.

2. Our Services

Xoqipe provides a mobile application and related website content that allow you to record income and expenses, set budgets, track spending categories and monitor progress towards savings goals. The application is a planning and organisational tool only.

We do not provide regulated financial, investment, tax, credit or legal advice. Information and tools in the application are general in nature and do not take account of your personal circumstances. You remain responsible for your own financial decisions, and you should seek independent professional advice where appropriate.

3. Eligibility and Your Account

4. How an Order Is Placed and Confirmed

When you choose a paid plan or feature, the following steps apply:

  1. You select the plan or feature you want and follow the checkout steps shown on screen.
  2. Before you submit your order, you will have the opportunity to review the details and correct any input errors.
  3. When you submit your order, you are making an offer to purchase. This is not yet an accepted order.
  4. We will send an email to the address you provided acknowledging your order. A contract between you and Xoqipe is formed only when we confirm that your order has been accepted and your payment has been successfully processed, and access to the paid service is made available to you.

We may decline an order, for example if payment cannot be authorised, if there is an obvious pricing error, or if we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse. If we decline an order, we will tell you and any payment taken will be returned to you.

5. Prices, Payment and What Is Included

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and, where applicable, include VAT at the prevailing rate. The price payable is the price displayed at checkout at the time you place your order.

6. Cancellation, Refunds and Your Statutory Rights

6.1 Your right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, if you buy digital content or services from us online you generally have a right to cancel within 14 days of the contract being formed, without giving a reason.

If you ask us to begin providing the service before the 14-day period ends, you will be asked to confirm this request at checkout. In that case, if you later cancel within the 14 days, you will be charged a proportionate amount for the service already supplied up to the point you told us you wished to cancel. Where the digital service has been fully provided with your prior express consent and acknowledgement that you lose the right to cancel, the right to cancel may no longer apply.

6.2 How to cancel

To cancel an order or a subscription, email us at [email protected] or telephone us on +44 113 302 1407, stating your name, the email address used for your account and the order concerned. You may also use any cancellation option made available within your account settings. We will confirm your cancellation in writing.

6.3 Cancelling a subscription after the 14-day period

You may cancel a recurring subscription at any time to prevent future renewals. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you will keep access until then. Unless required by law or stated otherwise at checkout, we do not provide refunds for part-used billing periods.

6.4 Refunds

Where you are entitled to a refund, we will make it without undue delay and within 14 days of the day we are informed of your decision to cancel, using the same payment method you used for the original purchase.

6.5 Faulty digital content or services

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and services must be performed with reasonable care and skill. If something is wrong, please contact us and we will work with you to repair or replace it, or, where appropriate, provide a price reduction or refund. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

7. Complaints

We want to put things right if something goes wrong. To make a complaint, please contact us by email at [email protected], by telephone on +44 113 302 1407, or by post to Xoqipe, 104 Harehills Lane, Leeds, LS1 1FF.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the application or website. In particular, you must not:

We may suspend or close an account where these rules are breached, and we will explain our reasons where we reasonably can.

9. Intellectual Property

The application, website, text, graphics, logos, software and all related content are owned by or licensed to Xoqipe and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the application for your own personal budgeting purposes for as long as you have a valid account. The financial information you enter remains yours.

10. Personal Data and Cookies

We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. Where we decide how and why your personal data is used, Xoqipe acts as the data controller. Further detail on how we handle your information is set out in our privacy policy.

10.1 Cookies

10.2 Your data protection rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for access to your personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data erased in certain circumstances, to restrict or object to certain processing, to receive your data in a portable format where applicable, and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month, and we may need to verify your identity first.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection. We would, however, appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.

11. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to the above:

12. Changes to the Services and to These Terms

We may update the application and website to improve them, fix problems or comply with the law. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. Where a change is material, we will give you reasonable notice, for example by email or a notice in the application. The version in force when you place an order applies to that order. Continued use after a change takes effect indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Ending Your Account

You may stop using the services and close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we withdraw the service, in which case we will refund any amount paid for a period you cannot use.

14. General

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may also have the benefit of the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country within the United Kingdom where you live. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute, although you may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live.
